Hi, I'm Kate.

Came to New York City for grad school, got a job, stayed for a while, moved to Los Angeles. I am a native Chicagoan who enjoys old people, making things from scratch, and aimless walks. 

I have a BA in 18th century restoration literature, a master's in information and library science, and a Canadian fake ID from when I was 17.

From my varied experiences and interests, I work hard to create meaningful user experiences and make complex information easy to understand and use. I spend a lot of time thinking about systems and all their dirty details.
